Privacy policy

In short: I use your email address to send you The Meta Ads Club newsletter. Nothing else. I never sell, rent or share your address, and there are no tracking or marketing cookies on the site. The details are below.

1.Data controller

The party responsible for processing your personal data is:

The Meta Ads Club is published by TVG Invest. In the following, "I", "we" and "us" mean TVG Invest.

2.What information I collect

• Your email address - which you enter yourself when you sign up for the newsletter.
• Technical information at sign-up - the time of sign-up, plus the page/referrer and IP address automatically logged by my newsletter and hosting providers for operations, documentation of consent and security.
• Newsletter statistics - my newsletter platform (Kit) records whether a newsletter was delivered and opened, and whether you clicked links. I use this solely to see whether the newsletters are relevant enough - not to profile you.
• Information you send yourself - if you reply to a newsletter or write to me, I process what you choose to write in your message.

I never ask for or collect sensitive information, payment details or the like via the site.

3.Purposes and legal basis

I process your information for the following purposes:

• Sending you the newsletter and managing your subscription. The legal basis is your consent, cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and Section 10 of the Danish Marketing Practices Act on electronic marketing. You give your consent when you sign up yourself - and you can withdraw it at any time (see section 8).
• Operations, security and improvement - e.g. technical logs and overall newsletter statistics. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure site and publishing a newsletter people actually want to read, cf. GDPR Article 6(1)(f).

4.Who the information is shared with (data processors)

To run the site and send the newsletter I use a few external providers who process information on my behalf. Data processing agreements are in place with them:

• Kit (Kit Inc., formerly ConvertKit) - the newsletter platform that stores your email address and sends the newsletters.
• Vercel (Vercel Inc.) - hosting of the website itself and the server function that receives your sign-up.

5.Transfers to countries outside the EU/EEA

Kit and Vercel are based in the US, so your information may be processed outside the EU/EEA. Transfers take place on a lawful basis - typically the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework - ensuring a level of protection equivalent to the EU's.

6.Cookies

The site uses no cookies for tracking, analytics, profiling or marketing. There are no third-party analytics tools on the site. That's also why you don't meet a cookie pop-up - there's nothing to consent to.

7.How long I keep your information

I keep your email address for as long as you're subscribed to the newsletter. If you unsubscribe, you're removed from the list. To be able to honour an unsubscribe and document earlier consent, a limited record may be retained in accordance with applicable law.

8.Your rights

Under the GDPR you have a number of rights:

• Access - you can find out what information I process about you.
• Rectification - you can have incorrect information corrected.
• Erasure - you can ask to have your information deleted ("the right to be forgotten").
• Restriction - you can ask me to restrict processing.
• Data portability - you can receive your information in a common, machine-readable format.
• Objection - you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Withdrawal of consent - you can withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing up to that point.

9.Complaints to the Danish Data Protection Agency

10.Changes to this policy

I may update this privacy policy from time to time, e.g. if I change providers or the law changes. The latest version is always here on this page with an updated date at the top.
